PURVIS Systems Implements Emergency Notification System for Rhode Island Airport Police at T.F. Green International

Rhode Island Airport Police to Communicate Clearly and Quickly Over Variety of Preferred Outlets; Can Reach Out to Units across the Country during Emergencies

Middletown, RI, April 30, 2008 – PURVIS Systems Incorporated, an IT systems and service provider for public safety, emergency management and defense industries, announced today that its Emergency Notification System (PURVIS ENS) has been selected for implementation by the Rhode Island Airport Corporation Police at T.F. Green International Airport. Using PURVIS ENS, Airport Police officials are able to establish clear and immediate contact with officers, first responders and outside units nationwide in the event of emergencies or breeches in security, advancing another important step in improving airport safety.

PURVIS ENS is a secure web-based system that enables officers, first responders and emergency personnel to send and receive mass notification of an emergency within minutes. Should an emergency or a critical breech in security take place, RI Airport Police officials are able to create an alert and deliver it to multiple people with the push of a single button. Recipients will receive the message in the manner of their choosing, with the option of responding immediately, ensuring that no vital connections are missed.

“The communicative capacity of PURVIS ENS made it an obvious choice for us,” said RI Airport Police Chief David Hayden. “Since our work at T.F. Green presents a myriad of security issues, we required a communications system that would allow us to extend our reach beyond the members of our own unit, while enabling us to inform key officials in other airports nationwide.”

The RI Airport Police is a fully authorized, duly sworn, full service law enforcement agency of the State of Rhode Island. Its mission is protecting life and property by enforcing local, state and federal laws, and representing T.F. Green International Airport, the state's only commercial air-carrier airport, as front-line ambassadors in providing "world class service" to airport tenants, airport corporation employees and the public.

PURVIS ENS is designed to allow officials to easily send simultaneous message alerts through an intuitive web or telephone interface. Notifications are received in mere minutes via landline telephones, cell phones, emails, faxes, pagers, TTY, text messages, AOL Instant Messenger or RSS newsfeeds, as the intended receiver prefers. This immediate and comprehensive capability guarantees that there are no gaps in communication, no matter what information needs to be conveyed.

“It is exciting to have PURVIS ENS put to such instrumental use in improving airport security,” said Don Dupuis, Director of Public Safety at PURVIS Systems, Inc. “Travel safety remains a top-of-mind issue among officials, employees and travelers alike, and the need to communicate effectively is a critical element in providing that security. PURVIS ENS has been designed precisely to accommodate this form of communication, and we look forward to working with the Rhode Island Airport Police as they put the system to use.”
