PURVIS Systems’ Emergency Notification System Selected by ER Card for Client Communications

ER Card Now Able to Offer Its Customer Base Immediate Notification of Important Information through PURVIS ENS

Middletown, RI, February 12, 2008 – PURVIS Systems Incorporated, an IT systems and service provider for public safety, emergency management and defense industries, announced today that its Emergency Notification System (PURVIS ENS) has been selected and implemented by ER Card, LLC, an electronic patient health record (PHR) company. ER Card puts PURVIS ENS to use in creative and informative ways as it works to keep its clients updated with the most critical healthcare developments. Whether announcing a recall of medication, warning against a sudden surge of illnesses or simply reminding patients to keep their medical records up to date, ER Card is now able to reach either selected groups or its entire client base in a matter of minutes.

PURVIS ENS is a secure web-based system that enables officers, first responders and emergency personnel to send and receive mass notification of an emergency within minutes. Should an emergency or a critical breech in security take place, RI Airport Police officials are able to create an alert and deliver it to multiple people with the push of a single button. Recipients will receive the message in the manner of their choosing, with the option of responding immediately, ensuring that no vital connections are missed.

PURVIS ENS is a secure web-based system that enables key officials, first responders and emergency personnel to send and receive mass notification of an emergency within minutes. However, the ease and immediacy of use enables institutions to apply the system to other forms of information sharing and urgent communications. In this application, ER Card is able to design a message – intended to act either as a general reminder to clients or as a critical notification that could directly affect their health – and with the push of a single button, each client will receive the message in the manner of their choosing.

“PURVIS ENS was a natural choice for us,” said Maria Gil, partner of ER Card, LLC. “ER Card members now will receive immediate notification of medication or medical device recalls, emergency evacuations, pandemics and epidemics, and preventative care reminders. PURVIS Systems consistently exceeds our expectations, and we are confident that our subscribers will recognize the convenience and reliability of the system, as well as the significant applications for better protecting their health.”

PURVIS ENS enables ER Card officials to easily send simultaneous message alerts through an intuitive web or telephone interface. Notifications are received in mere minutes via home telephones, cell phones, emails, faxes, pagers, TTY, text messages or desktop alerts, as the intended receiver prefers.

“We’re very pleased to have PURVIS ENS put to positive use in increasingly unique ways,” said Don Dupuis, director, public safety at PURVIS Systems, Inc. “What designates an ‘emergency’ is different for every organization, but the need to communicate with clients and staff is critical in any situation, and PURVIS ENS is outfitted to accommodate any mass notification. ER Card needs to be able to effectively inform its clients of changes in medication, updates to health records and more, and now they are able to do so quickly and efficiently.”

Inspired by the feedback of veteran Emergency Medical Technicians, ER Card enables members to store pertinent health information in a secure, encrypted database in accordance with HIPAA regulations. ER Card members control all of their personal health information and authorize access to professional caregivers in medical situations.
